in your tracks. These are often the biggest problems I face in trying to keep
competitors focused. Some of this stuff makes the workouts, diet and posing
seem like fun: All the other stuff...Often, not understanding what it's really like to be a competitor will be the reason why a would-be competitor quits. This is not like preparing for any other sporting event... the psychological stress can be immense. Understanding that fantasizing about food is not 'crazy', not being able to sleep at night as you get close to competition is not a reason for you to give up.... because you slip up and eat that piece of cake does not mean you should give it all up and go binge. Once you understand that you are 'normal' (you know what I mean) - it will be easier to deal with the different stressors that you will encounter.
