Being a Professional Baseball Player with the Boston Redsox is a very physically and mentally demanding job.

 

I started Reuben’s program with a wide variety of questions on how working out and building/maintaining muscle would help me elevate my game, and it more than handled every one of them.

 

Reuben’s program not only helped keep me strong but also worked on another big area of concern I had which was flexibility.

 

 
 

Combining that in with the intense yet structured and focused workouts really helped me not only to maintain (which is difficult enough over a major league season) but make gains in certain areas as well, which was a very pleasant and welcome surprise.

This program has really opened my eyes in terms of what the human body is capable of without the aid of any type of illegal supplementation.

I would recommended or endorse anything that has his name attached to it because after he works with you, just like me, you'll be set on a path you never thought you could travel!

Look at the people pictured here. They weren't a pretty picture before they went to Reuben Bajada.

Some were skinny.
Some had too much fat.
They were different ages.
They were from different backgrounds.

But they had one thing in common.

They looked at their bodies.
And they didn’t like what they saw.


But now they stand in front of a full-length mirror.

How did it happen? Reuben will tell you.
But first, he wants to tell you a bit about himself.
His own story. And how it made him who he is today.

My name is Reuben Bajada. And I will help you build the body you want.

Now you might look at me the way I look now (very top of page) and think: “Easy for you to say. You were obviously born with all the right genes…”

Well you couldn’t be more wrong. As a matter of fact, genetics had nothing to do with it.

Take the sport I loved when I was a few years younger: football (Aussie Rules, of course). I lived for the game and no matter how hard I tried, my skills improved but my body didn’t.

And this was the irony. I really loved the game. I knew what I had to do. But I just didn’t have the body to do it.

I was 145lbs of nothing.


There was more meat on a butcher’s pencil.

I was the player on the team who made you scratch your head and say, “What on earth is coach thinking?”

I was the player the other players loved to see on the other side.

I was the player who got tossed off the ball like a rag doll.

I was the young man who one day said:
My big moment came with the news I had the chance to trial for my state’s football team.

But it was also my worst moment. The selection committee didn’t pull any punches. I remember overhearing them from the locker room:

“He’s far too weak and skinny for this level of competition.”

One of the assistant coaches felt sorry for me and offered some blunt advice: “Put on 25lbs and come back next year.”

He might as well have said, “Put yourself on the moon.”
But I decided to take on the challenge.

For the next twelve months, the gym became my life.

I didn’t know it then but on that day I started a long journey of trial and error, of success and failure, and for you, the discovery of the learnings that can save a lifetime of guesswork.

Like they say, a wise man learns from other men’s failures.

Of course, I started out like every other poor soul does when setting out to put on weight and build muscle:

I read dozens of fitness magazines.

I scoured the net, searching hundreds of websites, forums and fitness blogs for advice and tips… searching for reliable information – only to come out even more confused and conflicted.

I read every book and watched every video tutorial I could get my hands on.

I picked the brains of the massive guys at the gym – disheartened to find that most of them turned to steroids in order to achieve their gains

The more I tried to understand what to do, the more I became convinced there had to be a better way to communicate the technique of building muscle.

And – more importantly – not just communicate it, but get results… because I sure as eggs wasn’t getting any.

Speaking of eggs – I was LIVING on eggs. And steak. And a routine of repetitive, exhausting gym sessions.

Then one day, one of my mates said to me “I thought you were working out to put on weight?”

“I am,” I replied.

“Well your workout isn’t working out, is it mate?”

And he was right.

But it was already that time again: time to haul my skinny frame down to the State football trials.

It was a two-hour train ride. I remember the date. Tuesday, November 12th. I also remember thinking it would be great if the train broke down. Or there was some minor accident. No one gets hurt but just enough that I wouldn’t make it to the trials.

Even the weather was telling a story that night. Thunder and lightning. Hell let loose.

And that pretty much summed up the coach when he saw me.

There were fifty players standing in groups around the middle of the field.

I stood by myself. Lonely as a skunk looking for love.

Everyone had filled out. Bulging bodies. Muscles as big as my head.

I sucked in my stomach in a wasted attempt to make my chest look bigger.
But I could only hold my breath so long.

The coach didn’t hold his at all.

Early 40’s. Sun-drenched skin. Over six foot five. His shoulders were wider than most men are tall. Or so it seemed. He was that intimidating.

He didn’t lose eye contact with me. But he sure let loose.


"Progress. Let’s talk about making progress shall we?

Look around you right now and you will see some of the most talented footballers in this state.

But talent needs to be developed, and many of you were asked to improve yourself over last year.

Well gentlemen, I’m very happy to say that of the 26 people who were dropped last year and asked to improve, 25 of them have done just that.

Which means one person has let the team down"


I had a feeling what was coming next. But I thought he wouldn’t do that, would he?

He did.

He pointed right at me. My jaw dropped. My shoulders dropped. My stomach dropped. And then, just like that

"Number 16, Reuben Bajada.

All you had to do was to put on some muscle. But after a full 12 months, you show up here looking and weighing exactly as you did when you left.

So on behalf of this football team, I want to personally congratulate you son, for wasting your teammates time, and mine.

This is the end of the road for you kid. Now piss off out of my sight."

What a walk off the field that was.

49 players and coaches. Eyes piercing the back of my head… which felt like it was about to explode with humiliation and frustration.

What exploded instead was a wave of determination. I was going to turn this into a positive experience. Well, the Hollywood moment didn’t happen quite like that. But nonetheless.

The tongue-lashing and verbal thrashing gave me a voice of my own. And I asked myself the all-important questions:

And most importantly.
I took the final step off the football field. And stepped into my personal field of dreams.
Well that was a pretty dismal tale, wasn’t it?

But you know it has a happy ending.


A quick glance at these photos will tell you that Reuben’s remorseful recollections were ultimately rewarded with radical results.

He found a way that worked.

He put on weight. He built muscle, and lucky for you – he’s done all the hard work for you.

Thanks to the groundwork he laid, your own journey to the body you want will be a whole lot easier. And certainly better planned and thought out.

This is what we meant earlier when we said:
As Reuben mentioned, he asked himself some key questions.

A long, hard look at what he had been doing unlocked the answers.

He realized that he had taken on too much information. But more importantly, too much conflicting information. From too many sources.

He would read in a magazine to do things one way.

Then lo and behold, he’d watch a video and be told he should be doing the complete opposite.

No wonder he wasn’t making any progress. It was like rowing a boat with one oar.

He was going around in circles.


And instead of doing that, he needed to embark on a steady climb upwards.

He needed to get past the salesmen and jokers at the bottom of the muscle building tree and get into the upper branches where the real results were.

All the events of the past suddenly lined up before him. And he finally recognized the number one lesson, the simple truth, that truth that he had somehow missed.

For Reuben, that plan took root in gaining experience.

Experience working with the very best in the industry.

Experience with the life- changing moments that happened when he joined the Army’s Special Forces.

Experience travelling the globe working first hand with client after client, finding out which methods work best.

And the biggest experience and revelation of all.

Finally understanding that;
Protein didn’t provide results.

Supplements didn’t supply success.

But plans work.

Reuben’s repeated his mantra to himself and anyone that would listen:
It doesn’t matter whether you want to build muscle, get rid of body fat or do both.

With a plan, you can.

You can change your life.

You can change your body.

You can change your level of success.

You can change the way people look at you.

And once you change your way of thinking, you’ll never change back.

They say it’s a cinch by the inch. And hard by the yard.

If ever there’s truth in the saying “don’t get mad, get even” it happened with me.

The football field fiasco was behind me.

I looked in the mirror and was finally happy with what I saw.
My chest was rounder.
Lean muscle appeared on my back.
The veins on my forearms stood up like a mountain range.

My shoulders finally looked like they could shoulder some weight.
My legs looked like they were built to support a man not a mouse.

But it wasn’t just my body that was built up.

I was built up in total...
This was an awakening. A moment of revelation.

This was not a matter of chance. I knew what I had to do to get the body I wanted. And I did it.

But more importantly, I knew what I had to do next.
I spent the next six years using all my experience and effort to develop a unique program designed completely around building muscle naturally. It all started with getting as much hands on experience as possible.

I made it my sole purpose in life to learn from the very best in the industry. I got formally educated, trained and served with the army's special forces and travelled the globe working as a strength & conditioning coach witnessing firsthand what methods worked best for different kinds of people.
