My Work at Home Success Story
Back in 1994, I worked a full time job as an Executive Administrative Assistant. I took that job to reduce the level of stress I'd been experiencing first as a Credit Manager, and then as a Data Processing Supervisor. I thought I was "down-sizing".
However, the secretarial work turned out to be far more stressful and demanding than I ever expected!
Secretaries, virtual assistants, and other administrative or office support staff don't get nearly the appreciation or salary they deserve for their talent and skill. Get paid what you are worth and gain respect and praise in your own home business!
I became more and more distressed about leaving my toddler (Ben, pictured above) in daycare to go to work every day ... especially to a job that left me exhausted and underpaid.
So, I spread the word and started doing word processing and data entry projects "on the side" through referrals from family and friends. This was the beginning of freedom for me and my family!
About a year later, in 1995, I said goodbye to my boss and hello to my newly launched home business, Projects Plus! Those early years were tough. Income was inconsistent, I learned by trial and error, and I worked long days and sometimes nights too.
At the time, there really wasn't a book written about starting, marketing, and growing a data entry home business. There were no college classes on the topic nor could I find any websites at that time with the help and support I needed.
It took me years to perfect the techniques, the pricing formulas, and the marketing methods that made my home business successful and profitable.
All these years later, I am a well-known and respected businesswomen in my industry as the owner of Projects Plus LLC. In addition, I am a published author, a professional trainer, and a small business consultant.
In the last several years, what started out as a hobby has become a profitable and deeply satisfying online adventure. Making money online through sources like affiliate marketing and eBooks has been fun and enlightening ... and my mission is to share my knowledge and experience with you so you can tell your own work at home success story.
The Beauty Of A Home Business Is That You
Make It Uniquely YOU.
If you want to keep it small, keep it part time ... you can.
If you want to expand into other areas besides, or instead of, data entry ... you can.
If you want to grow beyond yourself and hire others ... you can.
√ You'll know how to do all three of these things, and change them up as desired, with my detailed instruction.
Imagine YOU ... a Data Entry Home Business Owner
Imagine a two-minute commute to work ... or however long it takes to walk from the pot of coffee brewing in the kitchen to your computer.
Imagine answering the phone and hearing, "Hi. This is Mike over at Advantage Mailing Services and I've got a data entry project for you!"
√ You created a simple but effective, and very inexpensive, postcard mailing using my examples and suggestions, and you are getting results!
Your new prospective customer, Mike, continues, "I've got 10,000 records we need entered for one of our clients. Can I get a quote?"
√ YES! He sure can! You know exactly the right questions to ask to confidently bid his project because you are following my Price Guidelines Worksheet.
Imagine the next day, Mike calls back to ask if you can have the project done within three weeks and where he should have it delivered!
Let's see ... you figured you could type about 250 records per hour on Mike's job. So 10,000 records divided by 250 per hour is about 40 hours of work ... no problem getting it done in three weeks. You bid it at .14 cents per record ... that's about $1,400 for the data entry, divided by the 40 hours, so you'll average about $35 per hour! YES! YES! YES!
√ The project arrives, you set it up in your database software per my lessons, and begin inputting the data with integrity and consistency, just as I have trained you to do.
Less than three weeks later, because you know you should exceed your customers expectations in one way by beating their deadline, you complete and return Mike's project and send out an invoice for $1,437.36. Ten days later, you get your check in the mail! Whoooooheeeeeee!
You can do a little dance in your pajamas and laugh and whoop for joy because you are in the comfort of your own home! And you just got paid ... working for yourself!
After you've calmed down, you make a copy of that check and tape it to the wall above your computer! And then you drive to the bank and make your deposit ... into a business checking account, separate from your personal account.
You then record the deposit in your check register so you can keep accurate financial records. Remember, you will need to set aside some funds for self-employment tax and cover some business expenses out of that deposit.
√ You send Mike out a nice, hand-written "Thank you" note along with a survey of your services, just like I describe in more detail in my training.
Another envelope comes in the mail from Advantage Mailing Services a few days later. It's the completed survey from Mike, giving you high marks and a testimonial that says ... "Thanks for your superior service at a reasonable price. I won't hesitate to recommend you and hope to work with you again in the near future."
And it keeps getting better!
A week or so later, a gal named Jane calls from a company called Design Studio. She says that Mike from Advantage Mailing referred her and she needs a bid on her project! Fantastic!
Imagine that during all of this excitement, you are taking care of and playing with your kids; volunteering at school, church or for a cause close to your heart; getting the laundry and errands done during the day so that evenings are available for family activities, social events, or even data entry work!
*The above description is based on actual circumstances!
Imagine how fulfilling it will be ... to earn money at home ...
using your talents and skills ...
around your personal schedule ...
with no one looking over your shoulder ...
except very proud family and friends.
