Mike’s last ditch attempt, through pure desperation, was to make the Angel of Death an offer... “Give me just three more days of life and I will give you a third of my wealth, a million dollars…” The Angel refused. Mike persisted with a better offer this time... “Give me just two more days instead, and I’ll give you two thirds of my wealth…two million dollars” Once more, the Angel refused. Mike cried out with desperation… “Give me just ONE more day of life to enjoy my money and my wealth I’ve worked so hard to create for myself and my family…a family which I have neglected for too long, and I will give you ALL of my wealth – three million dollars” Again, the Angel could not be persuaded. Mike dropped to the floor in sorrow and defeat. With his fate resting before his eyes, he asked one more thing of the Angel… “Please, allow me to write a short message to my family and friends…and promise that this message is delivered.” The Angel granted Mike this final wish, and here is what Mike wrote… “Make good use of your time on Earth, as I could not buy even one hour of life for three million dollars.
